Safe and Efficient handling of Crucibles with Molten metals throughout the mill
Bradley Lifting Crucible Lifters are designed to safely handle molten metal crucibles. The standard unit consists of a fabricated upper beam section, with two alloy steel J-Hooks to handle a crucible by its trunnions.
The Crucible Lifter can be provided with a rotate drive, to allow rotation of the crucible while lifting. A pneumatic or electric winch can also be provided, to allow the unit to tilt a crucible without the need for an auxiliary hoist on the crane.
There is a wide range of grades of tungsten carbide rolls available in order to suit your specific mill configuration and conditions. Nickel, Cobalt, or Chrome binders. Various grain sizes.
Rolling Rings are available with grooves, with grooves and ribs or just plain rings.
For intermediate stands we have our own design Composite Roll Assembly with unique balancing and locking technology.
Straightening Rings for Kocks Blocks or similar are available in superior wear resistant grades with highest finishing tolerances, allowing stretched campaigns and excellent finished products

Slab and Ingot Lifters

Block Lifters. These lifters are custom designed, based upon characteristics of the blocks produced in your mill. Material grades, temperatures, dimensions and geometry are all taken in consideration to provide you the optimum solution.
Bradley Lifting offers several options for handling carbon anodes for aluminum production.
Automatic Single Anode Tong. This unit is designed to lift a single anode. Each leg assembly has two replaceable hard tool steel grip points spread on centers. The distance from the grip points to the underside of the tong is approximately 155mm. An automatic latch is provided to alternately hold the legs open and allow them to close with vertical hoist motion.
While a lifting bail is standard, a suspension bar, similar to the stems provided with an anode assembly, can provided instead. This will allow the tong to be used on the pot room main structure hoist.
Anode Assembly Tong. This unit is designed to handle a single assembly by lifting via the upper hole in the anode stem bar.
The tong handles the assembly via two lifting feet that close to nearly touching, to securely grip the load.
The unit is provided with a pyramid-shaped centering guide to help the operator center the tong above the anode stem. An automatic latch is provided to alternately hold the legs open and allow them to close with vertical hoist motion.
